VC Contact Transfer issue

I just recently activated my new iPhone 5 and used VC Contact Transfer to transfer my contacts.  Now all of my contacts and my daughter's contacts are on my phone.  We both use the same iTunes acct but when transferring my contacts, I only specified my phone number.  Is there a way to fix this?

Hi TraceyS,

I know how troublesome combined contacts can be. Let's get this fixed so they can be divided again. This is a common issue found with multiple users of the same Apple ID. The VZ Contact transfer allowed your own contacts to come in but if your daughter has iCloud activated this would cause her contacts to be linked to the Apple ID. She would need to turn off Contact sync and you will need to make sure to maintain yours off too. To turn off sync on contacts follow steps on http://bit.ly/PUTULX.

The preferred method to ensure you don't experience this trouble again is to reset either of the two devices and create one with a new Apple ID. That way any communication transmitted with that ID will remain with each individual user. The reset can be done by following steps on http://bit.ly/SEwey3.
