I have had the Iphone 5S for awhile now and I held off on doing the 7.02 update. After
I did the update which was a month or so ago my phone is constantly going to blue screen
then off . I can reboot sometimes and others it takes multiple times.
It happens at any battery strength and in any app, or sometimes while the phone is not even being
used. I contacted Apple when it started and all they had to offer was to restore to
factory settings. I don't want to do that since I am a photographer and have many photo apps that I don't
want to lose. If I restore from backup I am thinking that isn't going to work since she said factory settings.
Sometimes it happens numerous times a day and then a day can go by and it's fine.
This is very frustrating and I don't know what else to do.
Has anyone found a fix for this.
Thanks

mxvin lets get control over that blue screen and your device back in action! We understand the importance of having a working device and we're here to do everything we can to help! It appears there is an internal error causing the trouble so as the Apple representative stated, completing a Hard Reset http://vz.to/1hTwaWp is the best option. As a photographer, I understand your hestistancy in completing this process because of the potential of losing your info. The good news is with services such as iCloud http://vz.to/O2Jai7 and Verizon Cloud http://vz.to/1cBNO2h , we can ensure everything is protected.

Great question mxvin! You do have the ability to save your apps to iCloud. Do you have an iCloud account already activated on the device? If so, please contact Apple directly at 800-MYAPPLE and they'll be happy to walk you through the process with utilizing their iCloud backup program. Please keep us posted if we can be of any additional assistance, thanks!

Try this. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error40
Otherwise, take it to an Apple Store and have them replace it.

Mxvin, we need to get that phone working ASAP so you can continue to snap photos with it. Have you visited either an Apple or Verizon store for some hands on trouble shooting?
