My Iphone 5 displays that it does not have a SIM CARD. I have done a reboot on the phone and this only works for a few hours and it displays this message again.

You have a few options.
1- remove the Sim yourself and wait a few minutes put it back in turn on your device. (Make sure to turn phone off before removing the Sim card) carefully remove and put back in see if it corrects itself.
2- Go to a Verizon wireless corporate store and have them change out the Sim.
Good Luck

Go to a Verizon corporate store and get a new SIM card. It's free of charge according to the tech support guy I just spoke to. Resetting my network settings worked for a few minutes, but it went right back to "No Sim Card."
