Why does my device keep telling me the SIM card is not installed?

My iPhone 5 keeps randomly saying that the SIM card is not installed. What should I do to remedy this?

Let's get your iPhone working correctly KyleBingham17! The first step would be to power your phone off, and try removing & reinserting the CIM card. It may just need to be reseated in the SIM card slot. Click for instructions. http://vz.to/OeILJo
