Why does the my name/email come up on my daughter's phone? We are sharing an apple ID.

Why does the my name/email come up on my daughter's phone? We are sharing an apple ID. I just upgraded her phone to a 5s and when setting up her new phone, it glommed onto my name/email (account and apple ID holder) for her phone. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but how do I undo this?

For example, when I dial her number from my phone, it comes up as me calling my number, not hers, although it dials her number.

You would also have synced contacts, email, calendar and anything else that sync with the Apple ID and iCloud. 

You  should NOT use the same Apple ID.

PLease get your own Apple ID and sign up for Apple Family Sharing.

I concur with mama23dogs as far as sharing an Apple ID. Many people used the same Apple ID in the past so they wouldn't have to download music, apps, etc. separately. But with Family Sharing using the same Apple ID is a thing of the past.

For people that do share the same Apple ID I've noticed that the biggest solution is to go into Settings > FaceTime > toggle off FaceTime

Going back to FamilySharing I use it in my household and it works fantastic. When my son wants an app he "requests" it via the AppStore and it queues up to my wife and I to approve / deny it. Also, it lets you share Reminders, download purchased apps, etc. Can't go wrong with having separate Apple IDs!
