How did you attempt to "reset the network"? With the iPhone 5, you should have a SIM card. Remove it, then reinsert it and restart the phone. Or go to a Verizon store and get a new SIM (they are free) as the one int he phone may be corrupted. It happens.
Thanks for doing what you have done to this point, dkreiner. As SuzyQ mentioned, have you removed/reinserted the SIM? Is there anyone else in the household or area that is having the same problem?
