Thank you your replies. Both suggestions I did try prior to posting. I have finally figured out the problem.

Both my husband & I have iphones & previously they had both been connected to the truck. One day he was having problems connecting his phone, so he deleted mine thinking that would take care of the problem. On my phone, it still showed a GMC IntelliLink under bluetooth, so that was what I was using, but my guess is it was inactive. Since my phone had been deleted, I had to click on the information for it & then select forget this device. From there, it worked just how it should to connect.

The bottom line, if your phone gets deleted, on your phone forget this bluetooth device & start over & in just a few seconds you are connected.

Thanks again!

jrtmolly,

Safety is key and it’s great to see that you want to take advantage of your car’s features. Your car manufacturer will be the best resource for getting you connected. Check out this link for more info http://www.gmc.com/intellilink-infotainment-system.html

Awesome. Glad you got it figured out. I know it can be frustrating. My wife had an older aftermarket unit in her car, that I installed, and the BT was not good at all. It literally took me 30 minutes to get it connected. Anyway, glad your good to go!
