brand new Moto G - callers cannot hear me / mute NOT on

Brand new Moto G.  Callers cannot hear me when I answer and when I call them, they cannot hear me.  Mute button is NOT on.  Speaker phone is not any better.  Voice recognition does not work on the phone.  Person on the other end of the line only hears "static" type sound from my phone.  Not a reception daughter has a Moto G also and it works fine here in our home.

I can understand how that can be upsetting, jmetz. I want to make sure that we do everything we can to get the device working the correct way. Have you been able to power the device off all the way and then leave it off for a good 5-10 seconds and then power it back up like normal? I am showing that this is a prepaid device, if you are still having issues after trying to power cycle you can always get ahold of prepaid services by dialing: 888-294-6804 or by dialing *611 from a Verizon Wireless device.
