On a different note, isn't iOs 6 available today? Is it too early to update ?

My understanding is it  will go live around 1pm EST, 10am PST. You should receive a notification once it is available.

Also expect it to take forever to download off iTunes. When we went to iOS5 I remember it taking about 2 or 3 hours to pull the file and install because everyone was trying to update.

As recommended by many sites, make sure you have your power source nearby once you begin downloading iOS6. The last thing you want happen is to lose your battery in the middle of the download.
