Why does the (new) iPad 4G LTE have Personal Hotspot already with no additional charges, but the iPhone 5 4G LTE doesn't? Why is there a charge for the iPhone 5? Doesn't make sense to me.

Hi Jumpie1,
That's a great question! Many people wonder what the differences between the two devices might be. The data plans now available for tablets come with the Personal Hotspot service already activated. When the plan is purchased, it's included in the allowed features. Depending on the data plan you have with the iPhone 5 will depend if it's automatically included or if there's an extra cost. Our newer Share Everything plans (available on vzw.com/shareeverything) have the Personal Hotspot already included and no extra fee required. The unlimited and tiered extra feature data plans will require the extra cost. Review to see which plan works best for you so you can have the services you need.
Thank you,
