this happened to me yesterday on my droid charge! i have an iphone 5 ordered because the charge is a POS!

The fact that it is happening on your Charge would indicate to me this is a Verizon Networking issue. The Charge is a POS and you should upgrade to an iPhone 5, but I don't know if it will completely solve this problem, as it may be more widespread.
