The camera (rear facing) works fine for a couple of weeks, takes beautiful photos, perfect. Then suddenly the focus is stuck on one distance point, the colors are too vivid, and the photos look terrible and blurry. I've had it replaced 3 times and each time the same scenario. There is no damage to the phone, I've done all the resetting, wiped the phone, turned off HD, back on, smacked it (just in case...yes, it's a real fix), it hasn't been dropped, or anything else. Ideas other than what I've tried? I want it replaced with a different phone, to be honest. A different brand.

I'm sorry to hear about the continued trouble you've encountered with the camera on your 5S and replacements! I'd love to make sure we find the best resolution for you. When photos are fuzzy or blurred, often times the case can be the cause! They can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and flash effectiveness. Can you remove the case and retry the camera?

The phone has physically been replaced 3 times?

Yes, I've tried that. Didn't change the lack of focus or color problems. I just tried it now to be sure.

Yes, physically replaced 3 times. One of the replacements was a dud and never even came on.

Are you under a year? I would be at the local (hopefully) Apple store with this issue.
If it's from Verizon who knows what they are sending you.

It is under a year but no local Apple stores here, may just make a trip to one. Verizon is sending refurbished phones, so...yeah.

Thanks for giving that a try! When you previously reset the phone, were you you able to do so through iTunes and then set it up as a new iPhone instead of immediately restoring from a back up? http://bit.ly/1seAXda

Map one out, and set an appointment. I bet the places are jammed as the iPhone 6 & 6 Plus were just released.

The last time I restored it, I did set up as new iPhone. I had tried before the other way...it doesn't seem to make much of a difference in this case, as the camera still had the same issue.
