iPhone as a gift?

I recently purchased an iPhone for my dad and he doesn't like it. I plan on giving it to someone as a gift who is already a verizon customer but will the have problems activating and/or getting on iTunes? She we restore the phone to factory settings? Any tips suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

• Make sure that you (or your dad) log(s) into the iCloud account for the device and remove the device from the iCloud account.
• Log out of iCloud on the phone.
• Turn off "Find My iPhone" on the phone.
• Remove the phone from your dad's Verizon account.
