I actually wanted to send an email to Verizon Wireless to let them know that I was having trouble with my new Apple 5 phone. It turned out that the problem was not with the phone but with the case I had on the phone. I went to Apple and the Verizon store many times and even got a new phone from Verizon. My last visit to the Verizon store I took the phone out of the case and explained my problem. The problem I was having was that I was not picking up the wireless connection in my house or any free wireless connection place. The representative at the store could not duplicate the problem. When I got home my phone was still out of the case and I was able to pick up the wireless signal. The case was blocking the signal. I have several cases and they were all blocking the signal.
Thanks for letting us know the cause of your issues onestepabo. Many cases can block the signal as the antenna encircles the phone. Were these cases purchased thru VZW? If so, was it within the last 14 days?
