I have the same problem with my i-Phone 5. I took it to the Verizon store and they said I had call forwarding on and that I needed to turn it off. That did not work. The annoying thing is that it is intermittent. It will work and then 15 min later withoug moving the location of either phone it won't - goes right over to VM. This appears to be somewhat of a common problem.
