Can you give more details?

Is the phone activated?
Are you receiving a good cellular signal?

Is the voice/phone function working (ie can you make and receive phone calls)?
What happens when you try to send a text message?
What happens when you try to receive a text message?
Is iMessage enabled?
From what type of phones (Android, iPhone, Windows, non-smartphone, etc) are you trying to receive the messages?
Same for sending.

Have you tried a hard reset on the phone?

Is the iOS updated to the latest version?

sibakis, this is a mystery to us too! Let's take a closer look. Try disabling SMS messaging in Settings>Messages>SMS

You will then need to enable the message back on by following the same steps listed above and power your device off/on. Keep us posted.
