does anyone know the number to call to reset cellular tower strength? Apple said its *228 but my phone says number not allowed

Updating your Preferred Roaming List is definitely important, but we are wondering what is wrong with your signal to make you ask about this. Can you share details as to why you would want to do this please?
Kaebfly is correct. Our 4G LTE phones do not support calling *228 because they use a different technology. Resetting Network Settings is a useful trouble shooting step that can resolve many data issues, but often simply turning the phone all the way off for 30 seconds works just as well. Which make/model iPhone do you currently have?

I don't think you can use that code on the iPhone's. Maybe try resetting network settings? Not sure if that will help...
