are verizon to verizon text messages free?  do they count against the # of txts that I have

If you have a measured text msg feature (250 or 1000), then yes, all texts count - In, Out, & Vzn2Vzn. There were some older text plans that included the Vzn2Vzn msg as free. In other words it depends on which plan you have.
