how can i tell if my iphone 5 is unlocked, and if it isn't, can you help me unlock it ASAP?

Thanks so much - I had seen that post, but my friends here in Italy questioned whether "unlocked for Global Services" related specifically to Verizon's international calling plans, or to the ability to use a completely different SIM card in Italy. Looks like I should be in good shape. Will know tomorrow when I install the new card.
