Hello, why are my text messages going to my Verizon tablet as well?

Is your tablet an iPad? If so and you're using the same Apple ID then that would be why.

If you're using an iPad it's probably that you're using Apple's continuity feature which allow you to access messaging as well as phone calls for several Apple devices.  Again, if it's an iPad and you'd like to disable this feature...go to settings, select messages, scroll to text message forwarding, and tap the bubble to remove your iPad from this feature.  For some reason when you sign in with your Apple ID on several devices it automatically assumes that you'd like to take advantage of this feature.  I didn't find it very useful, annoying actually, so I've turned this feature off on my iPad as well.
