Asurion iPhones rebranded!

I just received my replacement phone from Asurion after a total loss. On the back of the phone it states it’s an “Asurion Refurbished” phone on the back. I feel this lowers the value. It’s depritiated because of the label. It’s no longer an IPhone it’s an Asurion IPhone. I want a refund for my insurance! Keep the Asurion Iphone!

Take it up with Asurion. Phone already had depreciated value from being a refurbished model. Never heard of Asurion putting their own branding on the phone, but I wouldn't be shocked if it was from the result of people selling refurbished iPhones as new.

At any rate, iPhone users shouldn't be using Asurion to begin with. That's what Apple Care is for.

Why you bringing this up here? Asurion is not Verizon. Next time use Applecare

Did you read your insurance policy?  (Rhetorical question).  You agreed to accept a new or refurbished phone or a phone repaired with new or refurbished parts.

Verizon has nothing to do with it, it’s between you and Asurion.

I just received an Asurion phone after mine had water damage. The home button sticks, the battery terrible, and the volume changes randomly. Apparently when you take these refurbished Aurion phones apart, they have very few actual Apple parts left. We have 7 lines with Verizon, have been loyal customers for over a decade, and  yes, I do think Verizon is responsible for its  decision to partner with Asurion.

The only option is to send it back to Asurion and hope you get a better refurbished one. The Asurion lottery.

Read my previous post and the insurance agreement.  Re ‘refurbished phones and parts’

We have 7 lines with Verizon, have been loyal customers for over a decade, and  yes, I do think Verizon is responsible for its  decision to partner with Asurion.

Until recently there was no other option   Asurion was the only full service mobile insurance provider.  All carriers use them  AT&T, t-mobile, etc.

The only option is to send it back to Asurion and hope you get a better refurbished one. The Asurion lottery.

Well yeah.   Isn’t that what you should do when sent a defective product?  I believe Asurion covers its replacements for 30 days, depending on its agreement with Verizon

FYI as of last fall Apple provides full coverage insurance.

We do appreciate your loyalty to Verizon. Having a working device especially after having it replaced due to damage is important. All major carriers do use Asurion as the Insurance Provider. We have a great relationship with them and expect nothing but the best when a claim is filed. Since they have provided you with a device due to damage they will maintain the warranty with your phone. You must work with Asurion directly for any device issues. Asurion can be reached at 888-881-2622.  AlbertoR_VZW

I am just dealing with Asurion now. Here's the thing I had my screen replaced then it started to glitch out and now they sent over a replacement device. All fine and dandy but wait! I need to send my phone that I already paid in full back to them? Or I will face a $300 fee? Really? A phone that already bought that belongs to me. hmmm... Also just to clarify this is the first time I have used this insurance within 5 years. Do the math: 15 bucks a month times 12months times 5 years equals, not worth it!
