I year ago today I got my iphone 6. I've had no issues all this time, until 2 days ago. My phone call dropped in the middle, and ever since then, I can't make calls inside my house. I'm getting only 1 bar of service, and to make any calls, I have to go outside, and even then the service is VERY spotty. It's worked PERFECT for a year. I was told there is a known issue in my area and the customer service rep suggested I get a $250 signal booster... I'm NOT purchasing something when my phone should be working perfectly.

I did already try to reset the device network settings. After doing this and a few other things, I was told that there was an issue in my area (which would have been helpful for him to check first before wasting my time).

I would first check to make sure "Advanced Calling" is turned off. Report back with your findings.

Ok. I have it turned off. Why would that affect it? It's been on this whole time?

Advanced calling can be fussy and doesn't deal well with latency issues. That may be part of your problem. IMO VoLTE is still not ready for prime time.
It always sounds good on my earpiece, but others have a hard time hearing me at times. I tested the sound quality by leaving messages on my answering machine. The 1x sound was consistently clearer & didn't suffer from any of the "garbly" sound that I heard occasionally when using advanced calling. The 1x signal is much weaker in my house than 4g, but still provides better sound to the person on the other end. A friends galaxy S6 is the same way, so not my phone.

It has not worked. I'm still at 1 bar of service.

Have you gotten any iOs updates recently? Any other Verizon phones in the house or in the neighborhood having reception issues? Is you reception still good in other areas it used to work well in, or have they gotten worse as well?

I am talking with a Verizon manager who is also a friend. He said my whole neighborhood is having issues. He's not sure of the cause. Phone is completely updated.
