During backup I get duplicated information in my contacts. Example: 3 copies of the same email; 3 copies of the same contact. Why? How can I make it stop?

Using the Backup Assistant, I get duplicated information in many of my contacts.  I get 3 copies of the same email for a single contact.  Or 3 copies of the same contact.  Why?  How do I make it stop?

Hello ehling411! I can certainly help you today! Typically when you have more than one copy of a contact or email address, is due to having multiple accounts on file such as Facebook, multiple email accounts (Google, Yahoo, etc..), and then when Backup Assistant goes to back up the content, it backs up everything saved in the phone. You may want to verify which account you want to reflect first, then backup via Backup Assistant. Thanks!
