How can I stop my device from continuously backing everything up to the cloud?

My new iPHONE 6S  stared uploading pictures to iCloud, 1,240 of them but I don't know from where?. I only have 92 pictures on my new iPhone? How can I stop it and only upload new pictures? I have no idea where the pictures are coming from.

That is a lot of pictures, toldin. Was there a previous iPhone backup? Do you share an apple id with anyone else. You can stop it by turning off photos in icloud.
