I try to delete emails from my inbox, but they somehow keep showing up back in my email box. Can someone give me the proper procedure here, or why it isn't working. I can send them to trash, then delete from trash, and they go back to the inbox. Wth?

Settings-mail,contacts & calendars
Email Accounts, Edit.
Go in and make sure the leave mail on server is not checked.
Additionally you must complete the same process from the online version of your email.
As a rule I don't have the email on my phone checked as leave mail on server. If I read it, I delete it.
On iphones there are two places you see email accounts. The lower portion of the email shows the accounts. I migrate to the trash bin there and select all for deletion and they stay gone.
