I-Phone 6

I heard on the Today program this morning that Verizon is discontinuting its service for the I-Phone 6 sometime in December of this year. People will need to get an I-Phone better than a 6. Is that true, or has anybody heard of that before? Thanks for your help, Chris.

I don't show the iPhone 6 is being retired in December.
