I can't send emails, period...

I have searched the forum and have done all of the suggested "fixes" with no success. It has cost me money (missing opportunities for freelance work) which is not cool, at all. Please help me fix this thing...

Give us a bit more info if you can. Assuming your using the preinstalled Apple Mail app. You have gone into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and verified your credentials are correct.

What email are you using? Comcast, Yahoo, etc?

I never personally use the preinstalled Mail app on my iPhones. I always use the Gmail app. Way easier and never have an issue. You can also configure to pull emails in from other email accounts such as Hotmail etc.

Keep in mind you can also use Safari to go to your email provider website such as Hotmail.com and login from there.

Thanks for the reply bd94s10. I am using the preinstalled mail application and have made sure that all my settings/passwords are correct. I have deleted and reinstalled the account multiple times and it gives me all of the "check marks" when setting up. The email client is verizon.net.

It says my username or password is incorrect when trying to send, but I know that they are not.

I'd rather not have to go to safari when there is a mail app on the phone.

Ok, got it. Although I have FiOS in FL I haven't setup my .net Verizon email ever on my device so not sure if there are normal challenges with it. I wouldn't think so. I know in general many have challenges with Yahoo and RoadRunner email clients on smartphones. Sounds like you have checked everything out. I even had a challenge with my Outlook app. I tried to send an email via it and it was stuck and would not send. I ended up just deleting the Outlook app and said I'll just check it on my computer / via the Safari browser since I don't use my Hotmail too often. Here is the PDF for the settings, which it sounds like you have everything checked.

Yeah, mine looks just like that link you posted. I was hoping that since I have FIOS at home and Verizon Wireless as my carrier, it would work better together. I guess that's not the case. Anyway, I really appreciate you trying to help me out. I'll have to look at a different mail app that will work with my FIOS addresses.
