Dropped calls are a daily experience. I bought the Verizon IPhone 6. I have called tech support multiple times for help and ZERO follow up occurs. I thought Verizon had the best service and coverage. I would not recommend getting Verizon service in the area I live in. I have never had these issues before with the prior carrier. I notice there are a lot of postings like this on the board. Anyone know what is going on with Verizon as far as coverage issues? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Since the tech support doesn't follow up, I thought it would be best to try this.
My issues- Dropped calls in certain rooms or areas of house and neighborhood. Never experienced issue with prior carrier.
Bars- generally 1-2 and 3 if I am lucky in all areas of 92009.
GO to settings/cellular.
IF LTE setting is voice+data, switch it to data only.
Thank you for sending, but I still have low coverage :(. I am hoping that might prevent dropped calls, but still have 1 bar of coverage regardless of changing the LTE setting.
Let me look into this for you. I want you to have the best possible service everywhere you go. I took a look at the coverage in Carlsbad and it looks like that area should be well covered. We have several towers in that area. I see you are using the iPhone 6. I am sure you have gone through troubleshooting since you have been in touch with our technical team. Can you let me know what troubleshooting you have done so far? Do you notice that the coverage improves outdoors compared to inside?

When you switch the LTE setting to data only, your calls will go out on a different signal. The 1 bar setting is only the LTE signal and not the CDMA 3G and 1x signal, which will be higher usually. Keep it data only and report back after a couple days if calls drop less. There is actual logic to this suggestion. With LTE data only, when you make a call, you'll see the signal change as it switches to the CDMA signal for voice.
LTE signal level are generally reported lower than the old CDMA signal and 2 and 3 bars are more than adequate. There are other discussions on this forum on the same thing. I am in San Diego area also.
