In the last few weeks I noticed that my Verizon signal strength has gone down to one dot from 2 or 3 dots and when phone rings people cannot hear me when I answer. I have to go to another part of house to be heard. It used to be fine...what happened?

IN the past few weeks I noticed that my Verizon signal strength has gone from 2 or 3 dots to 1 dot and people can't hear me when I answer the phone unless I go to another part of the house.  My wife has the IPhone 5s and has no problem talking in the same place and does not have to move.  What happened and what can I do about it? I'm in zip code 02816.
