Interference on my calls

I had to purchase and install a network extender after I upgraded to a 6+.  Now my calls aren't dropping anymore but there is interference on every single call I make or receive at home.  The speech of the other caller is so garbled and full of static I can barely understand them, which makes phone calls very tedious.  It is easier to text.  If I unplug the extender the static is gone but the calls drop.  I have contacted tech support and gone into the store, they have replaced my phone, not that it was the problem anyway (because the problem only exists when I am at home), I have read the network extender manual, changed its position, etc.  I have literally spent hours and hours trying to solve this problem but it persists.  I hope someone can give me a solution.

EWashburn,

Let's clear this up for you without having to invest much more of your valuable time. Calls should not sound garbled at all with our Network Extender, this device acts as your personal cell site. Thanks for providing your experiences in such detail, it greatly helps.

What zip code are you in? Is it only your device experiencing these concerns when connected to the Network Extender? Is your Advanced Calling off? Since this is a 4G feature and the Network Extender enhances 3G services, if Advanced Calling is on, it will conflict with the Network Extender. Here's the steps in ensuring the setting is off: http://vz.to/1VP0J1b.

Please keep us in the loop and let us know if switching the setting does the trick.

Thank you for your reply. I love Verizon Customer Service!

To answer your questions, my zip code is 85622. My husband's phone has the same issues. And the advanced calling is off. The only thing that makes the calls clear is unplugging the network extender. I just received a call a few minutes ago. At first it was clear and I thought that perhaps by some mysterious stroke of luck the problem was gone, but alas, it suddenly was garbled and choppy. I couldn't understand the last couple of minutes of her call.

I am thankful for your interest in my problem. I hope we will be able to resolve this soon!

You're so welcome, EWashburn. We're eager to get this resolved for you as well. I have a few more questions. How long have you had the Network Extender? Are all LED indicators blue? Lastly, is the Extender set up as Managed Access with your phones assigned to it? http://bit.ly/R4S6En

I appreciate all the help you are trying to give me!

Answers: We have had the NE since about August 12th. All LED indicators are blue. And, yes, the Extender is set up as Managed Access with our phones assigned to it. Mine has been for two months since we got the NE, but I just added my husband. He wasn’t having any trouble with his 4S but he just upgraded to a 6S and is now having the same crackling noises that I have been having.

Thanks for your help!
