I am trying to get my daughter to focus on homework and not her iPhone . Now in the perfect world I would be there when she gets home and monitor, however I work and don't get home until well after she's supposed to start her homework. She tends to do other things instead of her homework during homework time. She text her friends, facetimes them, goes on social media sites and takes selfies all while she should be doing her homework. Is there a parental feature or app that can be installed that will block or restrict her usage during designated times (ie: homework time) OR allow me to turn the feature on/off remotely? I know for android phones there are many different apps but iPhone seems to be behind the times for parental controls? I just want her to be able to call (or text) me if she needs something and all other features restricted until homework is done. Any help is appreciated.

atiggergirl, thank you so much for reaching out to us. I know how important it is to have parental controls on devices. We do offer a great feature that is called Family Base. This will allow you to set up time frames of when the device can be used, how much data can be used per month, and you can also set up trusted contact numbers. You can view all the details of this wonderful program by following this link: http://vz.to/1gIklla I hope this is helpful information for you.

Thanks for asking. Yes, in the link included there is the monthly price of about $0.16 per day or $4.99 for the month per account. The 1st month is free if you sign up now. I hope that helps!

Yes, only 1 $4.99 charge for the feature.
There can be 2 'parent' phones (controllers) and multiple 'child' phones (controlees)

Thanks, does it get added to the monthly bill? If it does, what if I start the service before a billing cycle? How does the first month free get applied?

When signing up for Family Base, you get one month free.
If you sign up in the middle of your billing cycle, I am unsure if your first charge after the free month will be a pro-rated charge for a partial month or a full charge for a partial month. I suppose if you are worried about it, simply sign up on the first day of your billing cycle.

Not worried just curious and want to make sure I don't get shorted a free full month or charged a full month for a partial month before a normal billing cycle starts.
Do I need to have the phones I want to "parent control" with me and install an app on them or can I get the family control and start the features without the phones in my possession at the moment?
