Yes, going to the settings menu can be a challenge for someone whose screen is zoomed in and they don't know how to move it around. In zoom mode you have to drag the screen around with 3 fingers, or to zip out of it, just double tap with 3 fingers, as stated above.

Let's get this annoyance fixed! Most phones have an Accessability feature that will allow zooming in on the screen. On your phone please go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Zoom (OFF). Keep us posted if this does not work for you.

Or simply take three fingers and tap on the screen.
The new iOS update has this feature built in.
