NON- Apple parts in my I-phone 6 + (purchased NEW through Verizon)

I ordered my new iPhone 6 plus through verizon wireless website in December 2014.  Recently pictures taken with my phone were coming out blurry so took my phone to an Apple store for repair.  When i came back to get my phone they told me they couldn't work on it because there were non apple parts in the display and asked if I had purchased a refurbished phone - which I had certainly not!  The following Monday I called Verizon Wireless' customer service phone line and had to prove my story to the verizon customer service person, including their calling and speaking to the apple store's service department. After confirming my story, they then told me that I couldn't prove that I hadn't broken the phone myself and had it repaired, in other words they told me I was lying.  Four phone calls later I still had no satisfaction - I asked to speak to a supervisor and my call ''dropped' twice while waiting for a supervisor yet no one bothered to call me back.  The last time I called and after speaking to a rep for 45 minutes, he promised me that his supervisor would text me back yet that also never happened.    I've been a Verizon Wireless customer since 2003, upgrade my phones every two years and NEVER filed any type  of claim with verizon..  When I told the reps that I deserved to get what I paid for - a new 100% apple phone - they told me that even if what I said was true, it was apple's fault not theirs and they would not replace my phone with a new one, only a 'like new' phone... but I paid for a new phone!

ABA12345, I can understand your concern. I want to make sure that you have a great working device. When ever you buy a phone brand new from us it would be a brand new phone mailed out. If you have any kind of issues with the device and there is no physical or liquid damage to the device you can always get it replaced under the warranty for free. When it is replaced under warrant the devices are Certified Like New. They do go through a 100 point inspection to make sure the device are working like they would coming right out of the box brand new.

Swapping a used/repaired phone for a new one is not something I can imagine a company the size of Verizon would do. Just doesn't make sense. Verizon would have everything to lose and only a couple dollars to gain. Multi-billion companies don't do this kind of thing because the risk to their reputation is just not worth it.

Apple uses components from many different suppliers. The internals of an iPhone won't say "Made by Apple" on them. The chips are Samsung, the wireless components are by Broadcom, and STMicro makes the gyro kit. I don't know what supplier makes the camera parts but I do know that Apple doesn't produce them internally. And it's all assembled by Foxconn in China.

i found out today that my new verizon phone has a non apple screen in it. verizon basically said i was lying and had someone replace the screen at some point. never happened, this phone has been untouched since it showed up.

i am not letting go of this. they sold me a phone that wasnt all apple.
