Phone says connected to wifi in systems but says LTE on home screen instead of wifi bars. Why?

Whenever I'm at home and using my home wifi I will look at my phone and it says LTE at the top. When I go into the wifi in systems it says it's connected to my home wifi.  But no wifi bars at the top instead it says the LTE. I want to know why this is happening and how I can fix it. Thanks
