I was looking to upgrade to an iPhone 6 128GB. If it turns out that I don't like it but want to give it as a gift, would I be able to deactivate it and reactivate an old phone? Or would I be stuck with it for two years with no chance of being able to get rid of it?

JoAnnGrav, look no further! You can order that device right here online: http://vz.to/1e948q1 Once you recieve it, you will be able to deactivate it and gift it to someone else. For your convenience, you can reactivate your old phone online at My Verizon whenever you're ready. http://vz.to/SLq428

Yes you can deactivate it and use your old phone but you will still be under the new contract (if you didn't pay full retail).
