I Assume you mean data when you typed date.

If the phone is lost, you cannot get data from the phone. If you backed up on a regular basis, You can restore from the iTunes or the iCloud backup to a new phone without a problem. You did back up regularly, right?

If you have Find My iPhone turned on , you can set the phone to other notify you if it comes on line, or you can have the phone erased if it comes on line to protect your data.
