If you both are on the same plan and have the same size SIM cards, just swap cards between the phones.
To get the data off each phone just do a "Erase All Content and Settings" and then switch SIM cards and then set up.
Before
Phone A - SIM card A - phone number 555-555-1111
Phone B- Sim card B - phone number 555-555-2222
Erase both phones, swap SIM cards (if same size)
After
Phone A - SIM card B - phone number 555-555-2222
Phone B - SIM card A - phone number 555-555-1111

Weth Great example. As always, your contributions are awesome.
While this is one way you can do it without calling in to VZW, just be sure that the SIM cards are the same (both MICRO or NFC).
But if you just want to switch the phone numbers, you can just call and switch them easily.
For example..
Phone A - Phone Number 555-555-1111
Phone B - Phone Number 555-555-2222
Call VZW and request to switch 1111 with 2222. Turn off both devices and then when they complete the switch, you will NOT need to move any information, just turn them back on and they will switch everything for you.
After
Phone A - 555-555-2222
Phone B - 555-555-1111
Here's a quick explanation of why this works better.
The SIM card holds basic network information (phone number, Device ID it is assigned to etc). That's why Weth suggested you switch SIM cards. If you just change the phone number that is associated with the SIM card, you can change the phone number WITHOUT erasing data.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Acrillix
yes both work great. I always try to find solutions where I don't need to call CS. Takes one added potential for human error out of the equation. In my SIM swap, erasing the phone is not necessary, but usually the person doesn't want the other persons apps and data.

Weth Definitely agree with your solution, but a lot of time a FDR scares people. Nobody wants to even risk losing something in the process. A SIM Swap on VZW side should be pretty simple task, I mean your just taking the Device ID's and swapping them along with the SIM's.
