That thing is only 3G, no VOIP, no Advanced Calling, no surf and talk, no 4G, no LTE, no security.  For $250, you can get much better and LTE to boot from Wilson.

Correct, Verizon's Network Extender does not support 4g frequencies.

I would personally just get a phone that works like a phone should work instead of going through the workaround hassle.

Follow the S6 and S7 threads about poor signal reception as well.  Nothing can overcome a bad signal location, except more hardware.

Yes, but the OP had satisfactory results with a weak signal before the switch. Hard to say how the new Samsung will work w/o trying.

Would recommend my phone, which has had the best reception of all for me, but sadly the 2013 Droid Maxx is long gone.
