Using my phones wifi & also using it as a hotspot?

Hi,

i cant seem to get my iPhone 6A tonlonk up with my WiFi so that I could use it and use it as well as a hotspot?  

 

It it worked fine the other day, but now it’s not even picking the signal up.

Being able to use your device as a mobile hotspot can be very convenient as is being able to connect your device to Wi-Fi. I am happy to assist. What happens when you try to enable the mobile hotspot? Also, do you get an error message when you try to connect to Wi-Fi?

Let me get this straight. You want to hook your iPhone to your home wifi for example and then also turn on the phone's hotspot to allow another device to connect to the internet through the phone? Why in the world don't you connect the second device to the home wifi?
