Verizon Cell service has gotten terribl

We’ve been with Verizon since they were Cellular One. Stayed with them as I traveled for work and they had the best national coverage. Recently, signal strength at home dropped so low we had to get a booster. Never needed before. Now when I travel to locations showing solid red LTE on the Verizon map we have gotten anything from 1x to at best 1 to 2 bars. Usually 1 bar or less. Meanwhile others using T-Mobile and ATT have full strength and service. This must improve or we’ll have to switch so I can work in the new remote frontier.

Keeping you connected is what we are all about. Sorry to hear that you've been having some trouble with your service recently. We can certainly take a look into this for you. Where are you located (City, State)? How is your service working where you use the extender?

At home the booster has made big improvement.  However, still having trouble when we travel to less than major cities.  We were camping last week at Higgins Lake South Park in Roscommon County Michigan last week.  Started out getting only LTE 2 bars with very slow data.  Eventually, even though my phone said LTE 2 bars, no data for 3+ days.  Eventually figured out if I turned off LTE for Voice & Data (defaulting to 3G) data would up/download but very slowly.  Better than nothing, but again our ATT and T-Mobile friends had full 4G service.  This is not what I have come to expect from Verizon.

Thank you for those details. Your ability to receive optimal signal will be based on the three factors of
-your distance from the cell site
-if the site has a clear line of sight to your location that would allow the Radio Frequency (RF) signal to penetrate into your area, terrain and tree foliage (heavier foliage does obstruct RF signal)
-new construction in the area among other environmental factors.

Is Higgins Lake South Park in Roscommon County Michigan a frequently visited location? If so, then we'd like to know the speeds of the connection using the speed test here:

We're sorry to read that you're having issues with your service in your area and we're here to help. What services are being affected? When did this issue begin?

This is becoming more and more of an issue for us as well out on the farm in central Kansas. Verizon used to be the only service that worked out here, but now I am wondering whether we should try a different service. Our daughter who is visiting has had calls go directly to voicemail because she doesn’t have service here and most of the time we have one or maybe two bars in our own home. This is unacceptable.
