I purchased the phone directly from Apple. According to Apple's website, the phone should work on Verizon. "You can activate and use the unlocked iPhone on the supported wireless network of your choice, such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, or Sprint in the United States." http://store.apple.com/us/buy-iphone/iphone6 I went to the Verizon store and got a new nano SIM but they couldn't activate the iPhone 6 with it. The explanation was that the serial numbers don't come up in Verizon's database. They thought that the database would be updated sometime in March, but didn't have a specific date or documentation. I'm coming from an iPhone 4S so I can't swap my current SIM card into the iPhone 6 because they're not the same size. Is there no other way to activate my iPhone 6 on Verizon? Do I need to wait until March and is there a specific date when Verizon's database will be updated?

For anyone else who runs into this issue in a store, I called VZW tech support and gave them the IMEI and SIM numbers and they activated it for me.

Are you kidding me? Verizon didn't know how to activate an unlocked iPhone under BYOP?
Asking a customer to wait a month is not acceptable.

Good. I know this has been done in physical stores with no problem. Definitely a store/rep problem.
