Why am I not receiving emergency alerts?

My friend gets weather alerts on her phone, but I do not get them on mine. I have an iPhone 6 Plus. Anyway, I am aware that I have never received an alert - ever. My settings are correct, but still nothing has ever come through. I find that odd and I do wish to get them. Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply, but if you read my initial post, my settings are correct - and I have never once received an emergency alert. Or at least not one that I can remember - and my friend/neighbor does mention hers periodically.

So once again - any ideas?

Thanks for confirming this, frs2016, in addition to those settings we want to make sure the towers are seeing your device. How often is the device powered off? Is wi-fi calling being used?
