Today, I traded my iPhone 5s for a new 6s Plus.
Last night, I backed up my old phone (5s) to my Mac using iTunes and now I want to "restore" that information to my new phone however, when I plug my new 6s into the computer, it only shows apps currently on THAT phone (the 6s).
Unfortunately, I hadn't backed up my old phone on iCloud since March so, all of that data is WAY out of date (especially passwords I saved on the iPassword app, audio files in TW Recorder, old text messages, etc).
How do I locate the backup that I made last night, on my computer?

JDLindsey, we want you to be able to transition from one phone to the next with ease. If the new phone was set up with iCloud when you set it up and not with iTunes, then it would not see the backup. Apple’s suggestion to correct this is to backup any photos you have on the new phone with your computer and then go to Settings>General>Reset and choose Erase All Content and Settings.
This will then restart the phone and it will be as if it was brand new. When setting the phone up you would then choose the option to Setup with iTunes. As long as you sign in with the same Apple ID that is signed into your iTunes on your computer, this process will then transfer all the information from your reset backup with iTunes.
