Will I be charged extra if I take pictures while abroad?

I was told that if I use my iPhone to tKe pics while visiting Erope (from USA) that I will incur charges.

IS this true?  Are settings needed to be changed?

negative,as long as you dont utilize networks. camera is isolated and as long as you saved pics to sdcard thats yours and is private.

You can put your phone in airplane mode or turn cell data off.
