You're not alone. I'm having sporadic problems in Silverlake 90039 and at work in Downtown LA 90012 of failed calls/connections. People calling me goes directly to my voicemail. How do we fix this?

Are you using a case or glove on your iPhone 6?  If so, please test with the case removed and let me know how it's working.  Also let me know the zip code in which you're experiencing this problem.  Does service improve when you leave this area?  Please keep me posted so that I may further assist.  Thanks again!

I do not have cases. My zip code is 21532. My previous phone worked just

fine in same area. I am still having same problem where I can't

call/receive call at all. My data is extremely unstable and it barely

works. My phone doesn't hook to Wifi well. It's just full of problems and

frustration. I think it's the Verizon service problem with iPhone 6. I

heard that there is an update for this? is it true? I really hope I can fix

this as soon as possible. It's almost been a week without any improvement...

It is possible. I believe the most up to date iOS versin is 8.0.2. Check to see what version you have and update it if necessary.

Well, that's very disappointing to hear..... I already have updated to that

IOS.... I see many people from many region having same problem as me...

and we will really appreciate if you guys have some type of formal solution

like an update.

I am not sure of which "you guys" to whom you are referring. This is a customer-to-customer public forum and most, myself included, are simply other customers like yourself.

Regardless, Verizon has absolutely NOTHING to do with updates to iOS. Apple is the only entity which pushes out updates to iOS. Possibly you should be posting about iOS update requests on the Apple website and/or forums.

If you are not sure who 'you guys' that I referred, I obviously meant

Verizon. And this isn't just customer to customer random chat forum,

apparently I see many Verizon replying. And no this isn't just Apple's

fault because other phone company such as AT&T doesn't have problem but

Verizon does. Just by using your common sense, we can figure out if it's

solely based on IOS problem or not. And as a customer, I bought a

'phone' where I can call/text/use data without so much of problem like

this. You have to understand that even without those services, we are still

paying phone bills. I expect at least I can use my 'phone' when I pay for

device and phone bill. Okay?

Also if you use common sense, Apple is the ONLY entity which is able to provide an update to an iPhone. What, exactly, is Verizon to do if Apple does not provide said update? If you are within your 14 day return window, you can certainly return it for a different platform. Otherwise, you would have to wait for Apple to provide you with a solution. Possibly Verizon can suggest different settings on your phone to try, but an update to the phone? Not possible.

to 4g wireless was some type of an 'update'. And why are you asking ME

about what Verizon should do? If you use your common sense, you can easily

know that I'm not Verizon worker. Again, I am a customer so stop asking me

about what Verizon can do. And you also told ne you are a customer, so you

should stop acting like you know everything about 'Verizon' lol

Using my common sense, if your old phone worked fine and your new phone DOES NOT work fine, then there is something wrong with the phone, not the network. The network didn't simply break because you switched phones. Additionally, there ARE reports of the same problems you are having on other providers. There are also other iPhone 6s which appear to be working fine.


Apple has already provided 2 extremely fast updates to the iPhone 6 for something which you claim NOT to be a problem with the phone, but with Verizon. For what it is worth, if I had a problem with a new phone from day one when my old phone worked just fine, I wouldn't assume it was a problem with Verizon's network. That is just me, though.


Hopefully, you will get your next Apple provided update soon and it will fix all of your problems.


You may also try taking the phone to an Apple store to see what they suggest. It is THEIR phone, after all.

about what Verizon should do? Because YOU are the one who said it is a Verizon problem. If Verizon cannot update the phone, I can't possibly think of anything else they CAN do if ALL other phones seem to be working just fine, even many new iPhone 6/6+ phones. Using common sense, it would appear to be a problem with the phone, not Verizon, and wanting Verizon to do something which Apple should obviously be fixing leaves one shaking their head. Apple is already on the 3rd iteration of the OS to run the iPhone 6 in less than a month, so it appears Apple certainly thinks it is something to do with the phone.
