Until yesterday I could send a photo via text message to a particular person, but now I can't unless I get off of Wi-Fi and use cellular. I can, however, send to other people via text using Wi-Fi. What could be the problem and how can I fix it?
Thanks.

segilson, Verizon doesn't support MMS over Wi-Fi. You can send a MMS from iPhone to iPhone with iMessages because it goes thru Apple server. But not from a iPhone to Android with just Wi-Fi.
So you have to have Verizon cellular data turn on, you can have Wi-Fi tuned on at the same time, but it needs Verizon cellular data to send.
So apparently when it worked for you Verizon was turned on at the same time as Wi-Fi and you didn't realize it, or one of the smartphones is a Droid.

I have tried sending pictures via iMessage using several different wi-fi connections. The weird thing is it works sending to one contact but not another.

We know how important it is to be able to message, segilson. Since this issue started have you tried deleting that contact from your phone and then re-adding it as a new one?

Sue, just to check something, could the the one iPhone that is not receiving the photo possibly have MMS Messaging turned OFF in iMessages settings or even iMessages turned OFF?
Also when sending a basic text to these two iPhones is the message bubble in Blue?
