deactivate wifi downloading

How do I deactivate wifi required downloading on my iPhone, it will not let me download apps or other files larger than a certain size unless I'm connected to wifi, I don't want to connect to wifi, I have kept an outdated unlimited plan and bought phones outright to be able to use all the data I want whenever and wherever I want.

Beg Apple to implement a feature to change that option for downloading large files

If you don't want your iOS device to stay connected to the Internet when you have a poor Wi-Fi connection, you can disable Wi-Fi Assist. Go to Settings > Cellular. Then scroll down and tap Wi-Fi Assist.

None of your tips are helpful, my iPhone demands a wifi connection for files over a certain size, regardless of my wifi assist preference or even if wifi is turned completely off

Having a restriction with your phone can be a concern AARWHI38. We want you to be able to use your phone and plan at its fullest. With the iPhones, there isn't an option to change the download file size. Apple has input this setting into their devices. We wouldn't have a way to bypass this setting as this is set by the manufacturer.
