Hfischermn, how exciting that you are in Italy. With iPhone specifically it will automatically add the plus symbol when you dial a home from Italy. If this does not appear you can press and hold the 0 to make it appear. Our trip planner also provides dialing instructions as well: http://spr.ly/6583Bz1tx.
