I lost my iphone, then got a new one via insurance. Within a week someone found it and returned my lost phone to me. I have 2 phones now, what are my options? Can I give it to someone on my plan or return the phone back?

They are both yours now. However the one that someone found is most likely blacklisted and can't be activated on any account. You'd have to check online using Verizon or has a tool.

Yes, I don't believe Asurion requires the other phone back after it is returned. MiiHere makes a great point.. verify that it is or isn't on the "blacklist." VZ should be able to remove it for you since it was found. Glad someone was nice enough to return it.

I'm sorry to learn your phone was lost, but I'm glad to learn someone was kind enough to return it, tumasm01. Since you submitted a claim with Asurion, they do place the phone that was reported lost on a negative list. We would not be able to remove the phone since this is Asurion's process with insurance claims to prevent fraud. I would recommend contacting Asurion and explaining the situation. From there, they can advise you if it would be best to return the insurance replacement and keep your old phone, or return your old phone.
