I just set up my new iPhone 6 on the Verizon network (coming from Sprint). I am only getting one bar signal strength now, in a major suburban area that always has good service. How can I tell if I am currently on the 4G network, or only tapping into 3G? My area show red on the map, but not the darkest red. Does that mean I don't get 4G here? If so, how can I set my phone to 3G again (if that will give me more signal strength).
Thanks.

Thank you for that quick response. I was wondering if it would improve service if I turned off that Enable LTE Voice and Data feature?

Same problem here. It is constantly switching between 3G service and 1X. I don't think I have seen it as LTE for more than 2 seconds. For the most part, the signal tends to drop as I start using an app and data. I tried turning the LTE to just data and not voice and data but that was of no help.

My wife and I just switched to Verizon from AT&T. We have been seeing fewer bars of signal strength. I assumed it was due to the Carriers' signal strength. I wasn't aware that iPhone 6's are experiencing signal difficulties.
I'm not sure now if the difference we are experiencing is due to the different carrier, or to iPhone 6's. When with AT&T we were using 4s's and 5s's. We have LTE set to Data Only. Have not tried Voice & Data. We get LTE in most locations.
